Created in 1978 this is the most mature
garden. The surrounding tall hedge was planted from native hemlock seedlings. Tall oak trees to the south and blue spruce
trees at the western end ensure a cool place to sit and enjoy the serenity of
the Formal Garden. Long
flower borders of astilbe and daylilies bloom in July. Classic urns filled with fuchsias and begonias provide color to the
end of the season. |
