Created
in 1978 this is the most mature garden. The surrounding tall hedge was
planted from native hemlock seedlings. After a visit by the spruce beetle the
west end has been opened up, new paths and shrubs installed Tall
oak trees to the south ensure a cool place to sit and enjoy the serenity of
the Formal Garden. Long flower borders of astilbe and daylilies bloom
in July. Classic urns filled with fuchsias and begonias provide color to the
end of the season. |
