When is the best time to visit?

We are frequently asked this question. One answer is whenever you need a break, to relax and regenerate your energy. To banish winter blahs visit on Mother’s Day weekend when the gardens are bright with spring flowers and flowering trees. Return 2 weeks after your first visit and see a whole new scene. The gardens are constantly changing colors and form till we close on Columbus Day.  See What’s in Bloom

Planning your visit.

Your ticket is good for the whole day. You are welcome  to eat your own picnic in the gardens.

Smoking is not allowed in the gardens; the parking lot is the designated smoking area.

A guided tour of the gardens starts at 11AM daily. Group tours can be arranged by contacting us.

Guided tours take an hour. Allow about 2 hours for a full experience.

We encourage visitors to sit awhile and let nature’s healing qualities refresh you.

Tarbin Gardens is an ideal destination for Red Hat Societies, Garden Clubs and Senior Center outings.

Tarbin Gardens is a great place to bring your houseguests, celebrate a birthday, wedding,

anniversary or friends reunion, to thank someone special or just to treat yourself.

Most of the gardens are accessible by motorized scooters and all can be viewed from wheelchair paths.

 

 

 

Planning to create a new garden at home? Take a tour and you will get plenty of ideas and personal advice. The gardens exhibit the diversity of native and exotic plants, trees and shrubs that can be grown in central New Hampshire.

Please note: Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Dogs are not allowed in the gardens.
